Children's ward
One ward is for children from infancy to 8 years of age, the other for children up to the age of 16, the average length of stay is 3-4 weeks.
Parents are given the possibility of staying with their children during hospitalization and can stay at the small hotel situated at the hospital, and meeting are held between the parents and the staff once a week. The parents are given general and individual information concerning epilepsy.
The activities at the ward are an integrated part of the clinical observation, including school, all members of the staff (who do not use uniforms) are specially trained in epilepsy and the observation of seizures. There is a kindergarten for the youngest patients.
All children are encouraged to bring their favourite toys with them during their stay.
