Ward for adults II
The main objective of the department is an intensive work-up with EEG-monitoring aimed at the best possible classification of the epileptic seizures and syndromes including assessment of the medical treatment and need for presurgical evaluation. Patients with disturbances of sleep are also evaluated in this department.
The average length of stay is from a few days to 3 weeks. As the department closes down during the weekend, patients who are not able to go home are offered a bed in one of the other departments.
